Celebration Records is set to release a live impro album with KALEIIDO +
Yellow Spoon set up by Nebula, Aarhus and recorded at Institut For (X).

During the first lockdown of 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation Nebula got their mind set to do a little experiment at Institut for (X) in Aarhus, where they invited the two duos Yellow Spoon and KALEIIDO to do a live session together, hoping that they would create something magical together.

Nebula made a blackbox in A-Huset at Institut For (X) and contacted Rafael Bender for filming and Michael Mapeka for recording and got The Lot Radio in New York to do a 2-hour live broadcast on their radio/video channel. Luckily both duos were up for the challenge and the result of the improvised live session will now be available for all to enjoy.


First single ‘Cuban Cigar’ had its worldwide premiere at the renowned radio station Worldwide FM and has also got airplay at NTS Radio, DR P8 Jazz, Reprezent Radio, etc.

Yellow Spoon consist of Rasmus Sitarz and Christoffer Holm Clausen, who only play improvised music og drums & keys. The sound of Yellow Spoon is a melting pot of many styles and genres who has formed both members musically: from fusion jazz to hiphop breakbeats.

In close collaboration with the Danish/German label Super Bad Disco they released their self-titled debut in April 2021. Since then they have received airplay on multiple radio stations and critical acclaim from prominent DJ’s all over the world, including Gilles Peterson from BBC6, Marshmello from NTS radio and Alanna Henry from Worldwide FM. Live Yellow Spoon has supported Gaslamp Killer (US), Fieh (NO), Laura Misch (UK), Charlotte Dos Santos (NO) etc. And in November they embark on their first headliner tour.


KALEIIDO is a new cross-over duo made up by guitarist Anna Roemer and saxophonist Cecilie Strange. The two musicians have joined forces in a common musical vision - to create music that moves beyond space and time. Coming from different backgrounds; Anna is playing with several indie and pop acts and Cecilie is deeply rooted in jazz. Together they transcend their respective roots and strive to create sound collages that changes each tone like sunshine in a kaleidoscope. The music never moves back to a fixed starting point but pushes forward in the borderline of ambient, electronics and jazz.



The duo’s dogma is to invite new musicians every time they record and perform, so their sound is constantly evolving. KALEIIDO pushes the limits of what improvised music can be be and creates a sonic, electronic edged and ambient jazz sound not previosly seen and heard. Their debut album ‘VOYAGE’ released on ExoPAC Recordings // Nordic Music Society to critical acclaim in January 2021 immediately struck a chord with audiences at home and abroad.

Nebula is a border breaking live format that since 2019 has facilitated events that explore how music and musicians with different backgrounds and environments can meet and create something new through improvisation, and come out of the experience even stronger.
